Donna's Giving To Unity In Silver Spring (Sunday)

Donna won't stop giving until Christmas Day.  Each day she's yielding to her natural impulse to give. On Sunday, December 23, Donna Britt is our guest speaker. It's a gift, and we gratefully accept it.

Matter-a-fact we are so excited about it that we are asking everyone to please bring your poinsettias back to decorate the sanctuary. Another kind gesture that we're grateful for.

More word on the Christmas Fellowship Table in a day or two. Here's a head's up. One person has already committed to salmon, and macaroni and cheese. And every time I close my eyes thinking about Sunday's Fellowship Table, I see visions of a black lacquered turkey breast, a scallion-laced crab quiche, beef burgundy, green bean casserole, broccoli polonaise, and a homemade apple pie with a flaky vodka crust (hint, hint Lisa).

More than that I just see us having fun celebrating Christ.

The Power of Jesus' Name (Sermon Available)

In this sermon, I quote a lot of passages from the Holy Bible about Jesus' name.  One verse states that "There is no other name under heaven whereby men may be saved."  One person said to me: "I didn't know we believe in being saved in Unity."

The spirtual significance of "being saved" is being saved from the delusion of a mortal, human existence and all that seems to go along with it.

I'm talking about Donna Britt, author of "Brothers & Me."

Before you click on the link to read about Donna's give-fest, did you know that she and Kevin were listed in the Huffington Post blog as one of the most powerful black couples in the country?

Donna's in a great giving mood.  Read all about it.

TEXTING AN UPLIFT

For those of you partcipating in the Text-A-Gram project, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.  This past Friday, I received a message that came at just the right time.

Don't discard your text message right away.  For an inspirational reminder, you may want to refer to it throughout the day.
